Advice on Customer Loyalty Programs

Hi All,

I am launching an E-Commerce site soon, and am looking into optimising our customer retention and considering a customer loyalty scheme.

I would love to know your thought on
- If anyone has used these to any success?
- Thoughts on rewards etc people have offered?
- Any plugins / services people have used to facilitate this? (I think im going to use shopify so ideally platforms which are easily intergrated with this).

From experience, loyalty scheme only works on certain business. More on essential products, like clothing, shipping, food shopping etc. Depending on what you sell, this may be suitable.

It's really difficult to retain customers unless you are selling something they buy regularly.

For example, my wife buys cat food in bulk each month from the same supplier because the price is good and we get free cat toys.

If I need some cables ties or fence posts I go onto eBay or amazon and see what deals I can find.

Why are you using Shopify? I know it's easy to use and not too expensive but is it really the best platform for your business?
