    Hi,

Having just manually converted/migrated an X-Cart installation to Woocommerce I now have the enviable task of looking at a separate Woocommerce installation and getting it into Shopify (lol)...don't ask...!

I haven't the time or the inclination to do it manually as I did the X-Cart to Woo migration which was very nuanced, but I got there in the end! I know that with X-Cart I always had the (expensive) option of using one of these migration services but the legacy records were so large it hugely out priced doing it myself.

This other Woocommerce installation is a bit more manageable but wanted to put the feelers out for the typical ways of doing it e.g. are there established (free?) Shopify tools that will pull the data in or Woo plugins that will convert to Shopify format etc? For example a quick google search reveals this:

    https://matrixify.app/tutorials/migrate-store-from-wordpress-woocommerce-to-shopify/

a Shopify App which gives a lot of detail on migrating from Woo to Shopify and looks to be a monthly subscription, so I'm guessing it would take a month's worth of subscription to do the migration as a minimum. However, I don't know any better....

    Thanks

    Dan

No, it has to move to Shopify, the platform choice is out of my control unfortunately.
Well I guess your options are doing it yourself, Cart2Cart or finding a Shopify freelancer.

    Shame though.

    Paul.

Then tell them the migration cost is £200 plus your markup.

Thanks, I wish I was getting paid for this myself but I'm not...!
You might be getting paid but still tell the client the cost is £200.
