Hi, I have been looking into setting up an autoresponder with aweber. I see I need to provide an address. My current address is my personal address which I have other family members living in so I am not keen on using this address.

I am thinking I could use a po box or virtual address for aweber. I would not really want to change my business address as a whole as my home address is already used for hosting, paypal and registered with hmrc etc. So I am wondering if I can keep my business address and just use a different address such as a po box or virtual address for aweber. Anyone have any experience of this.

Thanks Adam

Why don't you want to use your home address?

Nobody but the aweber admins will ever see it so it's not going to matter. In any case, anyone visiting your website is going to see your home address on the contact page anyway.

aweber send your address out on every single email they send out so everyone will see it in plain view from my understanding. The reason I don't wish to use my home address on aweber emails was stated above - I have other members of my family in the house. If it was just me I would not care.

You are of course correct - it's because of US regulations.

If you use a UK based providor I'm not sure this rule applies. However, even if you do send email without your home address it still has to be displayed on your website so you are still going to have the same problem.

I take your point but still think there is a difference between having your address on your contact page and having your address in plainview on every single email sent out - there will not be many people who see it on a contact page as people do not go out their way to look at the contact page. On a email you cannot help but see the address as it's directly below the content.
