A Gambling/Pools Business

I have an idea for a sort of sports pools business where customers predict different outcomes on different sports events and win cash prizes. Any advice regarding this? I think I will need a gambling license do I need anything else from a legal standpoint?

Oh my! I am assuming this is very early stages, because there are so many rules and regulations you need to follow, and more than just a gambling licence as well.

As @ethical PR says above, you should check out the Gambling Commission website for all the different licences you will need.

I would suggest that if you are seriously considering this you get help from a legal advisor who has experience with gambling and gaming to ensure you get the best advice.

It certainly isn't going to be cheap - you're going to need a lot of backing just to set up... then you've got to have the money for the publicity, especially as there are so many other similar (and far more well known sites).
