7 Deadly mistakes you make with your business website - how to avoid them

Jeez, he wants cuddles as well as Nursey.

"Morning. I'd like a web site please"
"Where's my cuddle?"
"Sorry?"
"Where's my cuddle? I can't start work without a cuddle."
"Oh. I only want a web site."
"I'll give you a lubbly, lubbly website as soon as you give me a cuddle and Nursey says it's OK"
"Nursey?"
"Yes, Nursey. She looks after me and all the nice IP."
"I pee?"
"Yes when I make mature websites I'm very aware of it, IP"
"So, you want a cuddle, permission to pee from Nursey even before you start a web site? " <ring tone>

What a nasty piece of work you seem to be?

First you you make comments about my nationality. Then you "mock" my age. I find myself asking what kind of person I am dealing with who considers this to be acceptable behaviour?

Oh and by the way I have had hearing difficulties for thirty years. I use two hearing aids. There's some more ammo for you.

Simmo can post what he wants however as soon as it is posted on here it is open for comment, good or bad, like it or not.....just the way it is.

Now if Simmo could start a thread, which is not just a link back to some dated PLR info at his own site, but is actually of real assistance to someone I'd love to read it.

Continue to post these threads, I'll continue to challenge them from anyone, just deal with it Dawg. :)

I don't have a real problem with simmos post or even the link back to his site. It's just that in his opening post he said we were free to comment. So we did.

Using words like '7 deadly mistakes' is a common link bait technique and beloved of the 'top 10 celebrity whatever' type blogger. It's easy to put together a list no matter how inaccurate and sound authorative. By posting here and asking for comments it was to be expected that there would be some discussion, no need to get all grumpy about it.

Why is there talk of copyright infringement? I have every permission to include that information on my site. & its just information (good information at that). Has brought me 4 clients just from this forum alone - 1 very good paying client I may add. ;-)

I can tell from the way certain people present there business that most people are stuck in the way things was waaaaayyyy back then. You need to understand that this is a fast moving industry and how you still make ANY money doing what you do is beyond me. Because the methods are waaaay outdated and clipart just does not do the job no more. I would find it criminal to even charge for that standard of work this day and age.

so i have some content on my site that has been seen before, come on guys some of you lot are still using static html pages with little CSS and clipart so get a grip.

This forum is about business and I bet I have done more of that in the last 6 months than you have in the whole time you have been online.

I post on here to help people not to generate business. I politely decline when asked to work for people I help on the forum. That's my take on forums. If you use this place to generate business good luck to you and well done.

No I'm mocking (NB not "mocking"- it's the real thing), your whole approach to this. As you use your age and 'maturity' as a USP I can't see anything wrong with mentioning that, and the Scots thing is standard banter: if you are so thin skinned about being called Scots you'll obviously thrive in a larger world. Or not.

I thought it was just a waste of space to knock what is basically standard net behaviour and climbing on a high horse to do so was eminently mockable. I still think that. So the OP made himself look twatish with spammy claims and then didn't back off. Left alone he might have, altho' it now seems that he is all conquering and does more business than anyone else, ever, which speaks volumes, or at least turns up the twatishness volume dial.

Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. "Deal with it". Gnarrff.

You did not mention that. You mentioned it nastilly, in the context of me being looked after by a nurse amongst other things. Also while you clearly see nothing wrong with playing the racial stereotyping card, I do!

What you need to learn is that it's the effect that your offensive approach has on other people that matters not what you think. Consider other people's opinions and when you set out to offend people with "clever" comments don't be surprised when you are successful.

Thanks for the lesson. Phew!
Where would we be without cliche and early reader platitudes?
Did you get that one out of a cracker at a Sweaty's 'Knees Up Mother Broon' dance?

Anyway, in these days of PC conformity, with all it's extra added you-cant-say-that-I'm-a-victim, I reserve my right to give offence.
