The other day @Solve My Problem asked me do I never sleep and it sometimes feels like I don’t. It’s all worth it though, as we have so much going on behind the scenes and due for launch soon, and I’m really excited to share these developments with you as and when they become ready to do so.
Some quick projects are my colleague @Ethan39 is starting work on a cleanse of UKBF’s membership database. Clearing out some old unused member records and doing what is needed to meet our GDPR obligations too, it also enables me to better understand who is here and who is no longer. What this does mean though is if you’re a lurker with an account but haven’t logged in for a long time, please do log in at least once so we don’t inadvertently delete your account.
Something I'm really excited about is that I’m also talking to some of the regulars in the forums about getting a regular UKBF webinar series off the ground, and we have some great subjects lined up. I’m hoping to announce these and the registration details in the next announcement I post here. There are some names involved that you’ll recognise!
We have also now commenced working on Phase 2 of this sites rebuild after taking into account various different pieces of feedback over the past few months.
The new site launch in December was simply a building block to put the foundations on to build from, putting the platform on new technology that we could work with. Many of you here will know the old site hadn’t been updated for about 8-9 years and needed modernisation. Now that is out of the way we can start building we can focus on building the site how it is meant to be.
Now for the critical part of this post; it is really important that I have an understanding of what the opinion and sentiment of UKBF is right now to give me a benchmark to measure and work from as we start the main building works going forward. We’ve created this very quick one pager “litmus test” survey and I would really appreciate if everyone reading this can complete - whether you're a long term member through to a new visitor seeing this for the first time. Simple, quick, slider scale answers to give me a baseline of what you think today of UKBF. I will then be asking this again in the future to measure if we’re heading in the right direction.
