Hi

When you say from all corners of the earth, do you mean from outside the UK ?

0800 and 0845 numbers are non geographic so cannot be directly dialled from o/s the UK, rather the customer would have to know the delivery number associated with the 0800 or 0845 number..

If however you mean anywhere in the UK, fine, 0800 numbers are free from landlines but not from mobiles, but 0845 are normally included in landline calling packages but rarely included in mobile calling plans.

If aimed for B2B use then a good 0845 or 0800 would be fine, however the 0800 will be more expensive to operate as it is free to the caller, where as 0845 is a local rate call.

Do you have any idea as to how many minutes a month in calls you will receive ? As the rates you will be offered will be dependent on the call volumes..

Hope this helps..

Hi Mark

it would be worldwide, sowould offer 0845 for UK and 0044 123 ... for outside.
I would not expect to get 50 calls a week, our website will pretty much take care of itself, its for just in case and for a number for the client and our marketing material.

Id be interested to know the cost of a 0845 number, or what i can expct from gold silver and bronze packages.

www.telemarketingsearch.com/company/ebonybailey-marketing ( this is a test page but you get the idea )

its a comparison site for businesses to find telemarketing and data companies, its worldwide, the thinking was that a local number would give it less of a global feel, i dont expect people coming to the site to use it, itll be telemarketing and data customers who are on the site that will use it i think.

regards your prices, do we get a look at what numbers are available? id be interesting in looking asap

    Hi

I would tend to agree with CJD, you would probably be better off with a landline number that can be easily dialled from inside or outside the UK.

The reason most business use 08XX numbers is the routing and intelligence that can be applied to the call handling, so if it is only required to handle simple queries (e.g. no IVR at the back end) there is no point in using the service and paying for something that will not benefit you. However you will get useful marketing information re who is calling you and how log for etc. But again this can all be done with a landline number these days.

Hope this helps along with CJD's feedback..

You get to see 40 or so each time you look. If you want 'vanity' numbers you can choose from similar lists - gold, silver bronze etc.

If you sign up for a free account you can have a look at what's available.

if you are keen to have a non-geographic number that can be dialled from inside or outside of the UK then have a look at an 03 number. They have the advantage that they are included in most inclusive call plans (in the UK).
