We've got a large client list that dates back a while, we want to send out a mass email, giving them an idea of what's new etc.

Any provider we can use for this that will have a high probability of getting in the inbox? Our current mail server always goes spam which normally is fine, but this is different.

firstly you need to check that you have your sender authentication setup properly, if not, this is why emails are going to spam.
You can read more about that here.

You should then perform email deliverability checks. You can do this from whatever DMARC provider you use. I use and recommend EasyDMARC.
you can also use https://www.mail-tester.com/ for single emails.

Make sure you are not on any blacklists, you can check this from the tools mentioned here already or from mxtoolbox.com.

You need to test all the common providers such as hotmail, outlook, yahoo, gmail, zoho etc. The easiest way to do deliverability testing and inbox warmup is with tools like MailGenius or WarmupInbox.

    Once you have all this...

Mailchimp is pretty good. But they may want to verify your mailing list to ensure they are all opt-in.

How do we verify that? Will they actually email all of our list asking them to opt in or how would this work?

They are all emails from previous registrations on our platform(s), which opt-in to marketing mail at that moment in time.

As long as you can show you had an optin you will be fine.

Sign up for the free account and have a play. We use it for our car club and everything works really well.

Clean your list before you send.

Don't use the app (e.g. Mailchimp) to clean it for you.

Once you have all this done, choose a provider for sending newsletters and mailinglists. I like Mailerlite, which is considerably cheaper than the likes of Mailchimp.
this will also allow you to cleanup your mailinglist.

Its not DKIM or DMARC as we've got them setup, alongside having support for IPv4 and IPv6.

We've just not had enough time to build up our internal mailing systems reputation.

If you bought that list, check 1st for valid emails.
You'll be surprised what people sell as new.

Too many non valid emails and any service provider will kick you out. Sender.net is OK but you need to prescreen your email directions.
This list is our client list/a list of previous registrations, I will probably need to validate them anyways and remove any temp mail emails etc.

    Thanks for the response.
