They are excruciatingly expensive :(
£11 (inc VAT) to send a 5kg 35x35x35 box with DHL/Yodel's standard service, it's almost cheaper to contact them directly and do it! :D
Thanks for the input, though
Hi there,
We use a franking machine and every now and then we need to send something recorded
Only problem is, when we take the recorded parcels to the post office, they charge us the full amount joe blogs would pay - Rather than our franking machine cost - they say that they can't do it any...
It really is worth noting that if you want to take in-store payments too, purchasing a virtual terminal account is going to be a waste of time and money if you're going to get a physical terminal as well - which can do CNP too.
SagePay offer what you want with their Virtual Terminal, it's pretty competitive - All they'd require is the suitable merchant number from your bank, so consider the cost you may incur from the bank
We already had a SagePay Direct account, adding the virtual terminal package was free for us...
I think I've probably settled on what I've been doing already, it takes little time, it's organised to a certain extent - Just messy if I need to find something, but as kulture said, It wouldn't be any where close to the amount of time It would take to scan them in and make sure I'm compliant in...
Merchant copies do, I wouldn't feel happy putting them into a searchable format on a work computer connected to the internet - I'm sure there are legal issues attatched to it, too - But as you have to keep them, I'd rather they be in paper form, at least then someone has to physically break in...
I'll just preface this question with some info: We're mostly online only, but we do about 18 trade shows a year as well as our own shows and for the last six months we've had our a card terminal of our very own which has put a nice (and profitable!) end to saying 'Sorry we don't accept cards'...
Thanks guys, food for thought :)
Hopefully I'll have a few hours at the end of the day to get into contact with some more couriers - Hard to find the time sometimes, but I'll make time!
Have been, for well over a year, cheapest we can find is Parcel2go.com and was simply wondering if there was any alternatives to this for volume.
Thanks :)
Hi, Matt,
We have looked at the ones that will deal with us (Distance/location is an issue as we're in the middle of nowhere :)
The cheapest we've been able to source direct from a carrier is ParcelForce for £34.99 which is just not on :(
Hi there,
My company has been growing considerably over the last year and a bit. But, the one thing we don't seem to have evolved much with is cutting back on postal costs; we got a franking machine and that has helped a lot with smaller packages and letters, but anything over 2KG? We've not...
Thanks for replying!
We'd (Amazingly.) completely forgot about the cost of ink, but factoring that in we're still looking at a bit of a saving and any saving is worth it!
We'll also take a look a look at pitney bowers because the price you're paying seems like a good one.
Thanks!
