Personally I would never ask HMRC in the first place for fear of triggering anything off.
Just be happy with your SE position and take advantage of the expenses you can put through. If HMRC aren't happy with your employment status it'll be your 'employer' who gets hit in the pocket anyway.
Personally, leave the quals after AAT as they mean nothing in reality, when in comes to gaining new clients anyway. When was they last time a potential actually knew what ACCA was let alone cared if you were a member?! If you've already got the know-how....
Bookkeeping on its own is unlikely...
Hi
Sales environment, employees given small incentives for hitting targets. Vouchers, make-up, event tickets, that kind of thing.
Are they:
a) tax deductible for the LTD
b) a BIK for the employee?
Thanks....
I don't use Sage personally but if you simply journal off the 20% from the bank balance won't it the leave a whole host of outstanding debtors on the BS?
Ok but do the corrections need to happen throughout the year or can everything be put through in one go at year's end?
For instance: can a director (close company) just take money out of the business as and when he feels like it, posting all entries to the DLA, and then correct it at year's...
Ok, thanks.
Let me give you a brief scenario:
Over the 5 month period £50k sales go through the DLA. £35k goes out to subcontractors, £5k in expenses and the remaining £10k is taken by the director. However, £1k is then reintroduced back as mileage.
Does the remaining £9k need to go through...
New LTD, trading for 6 months.
For first 5 months all transactions were put through a personal bank a/c. Would you therefore just put everything through the DLA for bookkeeping purposes?
Only a 3GS but will upgrade at the next release.
Might just hold on then, don't want to frazzle my brain as i'm not exactly up to speed with all of this lark anyway!!
Ok so just to clarify: the best way to sync my desktop Outlook calendar with my personal iphone is to use Google Apps for Business?
I dont need it to sync contacts and/or emails as I already do these to my work Blackberry but it's easier to have the calendar on my personal phone.
