Hi,
Wondered if you'd got any further with this. We have exactly the same station with Fedex (They call them Additional Line Items). 30-40 lines getting charged a fiver each even if they're only a few pounds per line!. The supplier said they can't group their products into code/origin but it...
Hi,
I started a shop three months ago and am not currently registaered for vat. I've roughly calced that it would be beneficial for me to register before month six so that I can claim back a lot of the shop fittings etc.
This christmas break I need to catch up on accounts and get started on...
Hi,
This must be answered elsewhere but maybe I'm searching for the wrong terms and can't find it...
I have started a retail shop and am one month in. If I get to, say, month 10 and need to register for VAT (hit the threshold) what can I claim back and what do I have to pay VAT on? And does...
Hi!
We are looking at renting an office whihc is currently A2 class (finance/professional services). The business we are running is an appointment-only costume store. The main activity on site is making costumes (about 1/3 area) but there is also a room for selling costumes (around 2/3 area -...
Hi! Thanks for the reply and sorry it took so long to get back to the post! Safe to say I'm still a little thrown by the capital allowances...
We bought some shelf brackets for £100. I would assume they'd be in use for about 5 years. Does this mean we can claim £20 expenses for the next 5...
Hi!
We're about to start on my wife's self assessment for 11/12. She's been on SA for years but in Jan this year she started a shop and so paid a lot of outgoings and we expect to pay no tax for that year. The one thing that throws me is capital assets...
I've read conflicting info on...
Hi!
We took out business insurance in February through a broker. A week later we received a letter from a finance company with a Fixed Sum Loan Agreement outlining the 'loan' for the insurance (because we'd selected to pay monthly) with payment collection dates etc. However, I've just...
Also, on top of liability we also need to cover the windows for breakage (landlord covers building insurance). They are massive windows so will undoubtedly be very expensive.
Hmm... yeah, I was just thinking about that this morning. Thing is we will be selling vintage clothing at the front of the shop and a vintage bridal boutique at the back. The bridal but wil be selling vintage wedding dresses (not too expensive to replace) but will also be making vintage replica...
Hi!
I'm trying to insure our startup vintage clothing shop but every insurance company and broker I have applied to has returned that they don't insure second-hand clothes shops. Any ideas who does?
Thank you!
Hi,
I am starting a wedding dress shop designing and making wedding dresses, and I'm trying to find a contract template which will protect me.
Anyone know where I can start to look? Haven't approached a solicitor yet, as based on the solicitor's fees for the lease it would be too expensive...
Hi!
Perhaps it's a silly question but I wondered if it's possible to register for VAT at business start up (to claim VAT back on purchases) and deregister later? I'm guessing it's not possible as everyone would do it but I haven't read anything to suggest otherwise yet! It's not really worth me...
Hi!
I have a small retail store and I want to put out some price comparison flyers against prices of a large national store. Is it okay to use their logo? What other rules would I have to stick by to avoid litigation?
Thanks,
Maff
Is that the only way then do you think?
I know when I bulk add the products to start the stock inventory it will be easy because I can just do a formula on the prices I'll be importing from excel files.
My main annoyance is that I'll be adding prices on the fly (whilst serving customers) and...
Hmm. I found it now under purchase invoices. However, I need that option for Invopices/Quotes/Sales Orders. When I invoice my clients I want the VAT to be already included in the Sales Price. Is this not possible? This seems really strange.
