Hi GrahamB41,
I work for a fulfilment house and would agree with the above comment. The dispatches 90% of the time are sent out on our account. If the items have not been delivered we chase this up. We have a number to our local depot rather than a centralised call centre which is really...
Good Afternoon,
Which carrier do you use at the moment to send these items out, can I assume that this is TNT?
There will be a number of fulfilment companies who should able to assist with this.
Are your items barcoded? If they are not then this is one way to reduce mispicks. It will also be...
Hi,
Technically on the face of it I would say that you are not liable. But for the sake of £1.99, keeping customers happy and not receiving bad feedback, I would just pay the £1.99.
As others have mentioned in the post the time that you have probably spent going through this post is worth over...
Hi Heloisa,
I work for Vdepot who specialise in fufliment for ecommerce sellers. We are used to working with startups and so order numbers/volumes is not an issue for us, we can also keep track of serial numbers to.
I would suggest that whoever you go with make sure they are right for you...
I'm by no means an expert on this, but on the face of it would completely agree and echo the comment of PJackson. My understanding is that it would be an unacceptable way to do it.
Hi,
Appears to be lots of useful comments on here!
In my opinion the best thing to do would be to set up your own website and promote that as best you can. You dont necessarily have to spend lots on Google ad words, you could use things like facebook to try and get customers to your website...
Thanks Mike and welcome to the forum! Good to have people that can always fill in gaps and knowledge. I specialise in ecommerce fulfilment here so if there is anything that you want to chat about just give me a shout!
Thanks,
Iain
Hi,
I work at a fulfilment company, we have customers who sell clothing. My tip is that I would definitely ensure that you check the first batch before dispatching to customers. We have had a number of customers who were sent "samples" by the manufacturer but when the stock arrived the quality...
Hi,
As the above comments have touched upon this really is dependant on you as a customer and what your overall requirements are.
If the intention is to compare fulfilment companies then this is such an open ended question. Some will not charge incoming fees but will then make it up on...
Hi Mike,
I'm sure that there are lots of fulfilment companies around that will work with you. We are based near Norwich and so may be further away that you want. However, with our system it means that you can track most things that you need online. More than happy to go through a demonstration...
HI Susiestartup,
I am from a fulfilment company and this is something that we may be able to help with. We are used to receiving over sized items from China in containers and dispatching them straight to the consumer. We also normally integrate direct with our customers sales channels.
I...
Hi Mike,
Not sure whether I am too late on this. Let me know if I am (or not). I work for a fulfilment company and we have a number of food customers, (all registered with local authority etc. and we do get inspections). We work with start up so if I can be of any assistance please let me know...
Good Morning Leonis,
I work for a fulfilment company that would be able to deal with your request. We are able to accept CSV files for orders.
It depends what you deem as "expensive", if £4.00 includes the actual postage costs and it cannot go as a "large letter" but has to go as a packet...
Being a parent of a 2 year old I like the idea of idea 1, "Clarkson" style, but you just need to figure how you would generate revenue from this (if this is the objection).
I am not in a position to comment on idea 2 or 4 but idea 3 sounds great but in practice I'm not sure how workable it is...
That is a good point raised, I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for fulfilment that they visit the warehouse first. As you have mentioned I am also aware of other "fulfilment centres" which just farm out the work with an additional margin.
