Your ad will show dependent on the search phrase , be that broad, phrase or exact . Steve has offered you a pm to help , and if you have not done so yet, take him up on his offer, also download the guides in his sig, and you will understand far more. The ad is only the start , so I would suggest...
Yes but It took a while to find what works, and many things don't.I lost money at the start and spent quite some time fine tuning it to get it profitable. It is very good for lead generation, not for e-commerce sales in my experience. Also good for promoting local business like restaurants, but...
You would need to be more specific. Every market is different. As an example ,financial services such as loans and debt is more expensive than selling mail order cheeses.
It also depends on what your target return on investment is, do you want to spend 1 pound to make 2 ?
Is adwords your...
From and advertising perspective, yes I would try it. As a user I know that anything that gets in the way of what I was doing, I find annoying. Quite a few sites these days have the virtual person talking to me on the landing page, when that happens I can't close it down fast enough. After...

This was UK search...

I am running a number of campaigns on Yahoo, all are in the B2C market. In actual conversions I am...
Well I would be certainly testing yours ;), but I maintain it is a great example, but that does not mean it can't be made better.

The ads that generate the most clicks (CTR ) per 1000 impressions...
If the objective is to get more back links to your main blog.I would write those articles and submit to an article website such as ezinearticles.com. Link those back to your main site/blog ( preferably a landing page with opt-in). There a number of good article directories out there, just be...
Work with what you can control.
Set up a seperate PPC ad with just the keyword you have the organic no1 on. Use the [exact search phrase] Send your PPC traffic for that keyword to a different landing page, track the conversion process. You then have your answer.
Duncan,
just to clarify I would advocate all that you say here, my point is from an organic listing point of view, too many people spend to much time doing everything to fit what google do, there is no point trying to second guess google. In many cases optimising the traffic you have now...
