    After asking for the contract to be cancelled i was still able to login to the account and presumed i would for the next year seeing as the domain would exist in my name for the next year. But today i got billed for £1.19 for some reason when there was a 30 day trial and i ended it within 3 days...

    Yeah when i transfer id pay for privacy with 123-reg. They offer it with .com. Thanks i'l make sure when i transfer over it's in my name then. But can't do that for a while anyway so going to leave that for now. Thanks again.

    Thanks all. And fisicx i contacted 123-reg if i transferred to them i could pay for privacy for .com just like my .co.uk with them. So this is probably what i'll try to do at some point. For now ive changed the contact details to 1and1 but not sure how long that will take to update the whois system.
