    I'm in the same sort of area and VAT registered since the 1st of January, and that's my understanding of it, although I'm on the flat rate scheme so I only have to repay the VAT at 9%. I work on commission and the UK and EU based companies paying me add the VAT, the rest don't.

    Well, there is a plus side - Google obviously sees the domain as an authority, I'd love sitelinks for a couple of my sites. Maybe you need to look at the way the site is optimized to make sure you get more on other terms.

    Pages absolutely, but remember, no one really reads pages and pages of sold copy on the web. Make your pages snappy, use bullet points for the initial selling points then give surfers the chance to drill down to more indepth info if they need it.
