Business Plan templates, where to find them?

Hi there everybody.

I am currently in the process of writing a new business plan for my astrology company, which is purely service-based and I'm a sole trader.

Does anyone know where I can find some business plan templates that I don't have to pay for or are very cheap, please? Preferably would be small ones that simply cover all the main things for a sole trader who is internet-based and offering services in the alternative therapies/ holistic or spiritual fields.

Thank you very much in advance.
Gemma.

Hi. These were quite easy to find with a Google search but I am a Gemini.

Hi Gemma
In addition to using Shopclicks' links, consider who has asked you to prepare the Business Plan and look up their advice about the plan they have requested.

For example, recently, Starling Bank asked me for a Business Plan and I found that Starling Bank have a webpage telling me what to put in a Business Plan.

For my low cost Template, I found one in MS Word's Templates.

I wouldn't get too hung up about looking for an Astrology type Template because you probably have your own ideas about your subject so it would be better to allow yourself to speak for yourself.

I am a Leo!

As already suggested, a Google search will give you loads of free and low cost templates but my question would be: why do you need a new business plan for an existing business?

I can email you some simplistic templates for plan & forecasts, together with my own guides on how best to do them. (It will be next week, as I am on holiday)

Most banks and accountants also have templates - though they tend to be more complex and a bit scary!

Essentially your plan needs to focus on 3 key areas:

- Operation
- Marketing
- Financial

A proper SWOT analysis can be extremely useful (most are just window-dressing, so pointless)

If you start with cashflow projections, the research and thought that goes into realistic numbers will also provide the narrative content.

DM me if you want templates next week.

Thanks, that's so kind of you to offer, but I need this done today and tomorrow. I am going to use the template in the first link sent in these answers, as it looks fairly simple and straightforward to fill out. I think a lot of the work is already done for me here. Have a good day/ weekend!!
I highly recommend the book: "FT Essential Guide to Writing a Business Plan".

In fact the Financial Times have loads of useful business books.
That sounds like a good book! I do find the Financial Times quite fascinating to read.
