    Hi guys

    Do you keep your logos super simple?

    I've spent quite a bit of time developing a new brand logo for my second product. I have added a picture (animal) to my logo with colour (to add brand identity) and my manufacturer has now said it won't work with there laser for printing logos.

    Thanks

    I don’t use logos. They are often overrated and mostly ignored.

    They have offered to put the company name in white text on the product but can't do the coloured animal. Looking at products around my house as well as other private label sellers, quite a lot don't actually show the full logo on all products.

    So why do you need one?
    They do say the aim with private labeling is to build a brand that people recognise and will continue to buy from in the future.
    Brand =/= Branding.

    You can have a brand without a logo. A logo is part of branding.

    People will often recognise the brand name (Tigris) but will not recall a logo.

    That should have been part of the developing a logo.

    Too many times, we get sent fancy logo's that look great on screen, but when it comes to using anywhere else they look shit, and the branding falls apart. Mainly when they want it embroidered, or printed in black and white.

    @fisicx makes good points.

    All it is, is the company name with a 2d vector image of an animal above it but the colour of the animal is vibrant.

    Ile stick to black/white text for the logo on the products. Seems that's the way 99% of brands are on the same market place as me.
