Virtual Phone Numbers

I've done a quick search on the Forum for this but it didn't come up with anything.

Can anyone recommend a virtual phone number provider at all? I've had a look at telecommsworld and ereceptionist.

Expected call volume won't be that great: I'd just prefer something other than a mobile number for website purposes.

I have a virtual fax through efax which I find very effective. I seem to recall that I had a number from telecommsworld five or six years ago but fell out with them because of the termination fee applied to my account when I wanted to end the contract.

Any pointers would be gratefully received.

Looks like a referral link? Is there any financial or other benefit of you referring people to Voipfone?

Yes It is, and apparently we get 50% of the first months money after your trial... Which goes to credit on our account so we dont even get the cash... But doesnt cost you anything extra, saves you money in fact...
If you don't want the 30 day free trial then go to Google and search "voipfone" - don't know why your busting my ass over it?

Whoever you choose, make sure they are members of ITSPA. That gives you 2 important things:

Members must adhere to a code of practice in how they deal with you.
And more importantly, another member will provide you with service should your chosen provider go out of business. Thus you can always retain your number.

...and if you choose one that holds its quality mark you know that they pass a whole series of checks, standards and independent monitoring tests too.
