I started e-commerce t shirt shop.
I am using wix at the moment, does anybody got experience in using wix?
Or better switch to shopify?

Shopify is less naff but can be very expensive.

If you own the domain you can get up a standalone site for very little.

Personally, my answer would be to use neither of these.

But a more constructive response would be to assess what you want, not just in front end terms, but in terms of stock management, product display, sales and VAT reporting and so on.

Of course, Shopify can achieve these things, but the last indication of price I had on Shopify was about twice what I am currently paying.

As with all these things, it is about how much you want/need to invest in this aspect of your business - which in part will be informed by the potential scale of your ecommerce operation.

Wix and the like tend to be quite restrictive when it comes to adding plugins (including Payment Gateway options - which are very limited at the moment).

As above, if you own the domain you could try open source ecommerce such as WooCommerce or OpenCart, or for hosted something like FreeWebstore or ECWID. Also, Shop Integrator which you can drop in to virtually any website.

WIX is built on flash = not SEO friendly. I recommend Shopify, as it's a platform tailored specifically for eCommerce businesses, although it comes with its own limitations - as all of them do.

I would recommend Shopify. Yes, it can be a little expensive but mostly has everything you need to get an online shop up and running quickly ready to start selling.

I would personally use wordpress and woo-commerce. I find it very easy to use and lots of plug-ins for google shopping, etc.
