As with the other 400 issues that were never addressed on this forum, it was suggested that post count thresholds for member titles ought to be changed as you shouldn't really be a newcomer still 500+ posts contributed. Along with the points accumulation, trophies and members list, none of this was ever changed, sorted or fixed from the default forum settings.

Will take a look for you @ryedale. With 508 posts you should be listed as a more appropriate 'Enthusiast'!

+ 30 posts is 'UKBF Contributor'
+100 is Regular
+500 Enthusiast
So this is the official "contribution growth ladder"?
Do like the terms by the way, they seem reflective/descriptive of the level of contribution rather than being ego -gratifying monikers!

Having only recently upgraded (Today) I was keen to try out the benefits of being a Full Member.

To my disappointment I am unable to place a marketplace listing until I have written 30 posts. This is apparently to cut down on spamming. I would have thought me writing 30 posts in order to get to place a listing in the marketplace actually encourages spamming!!!... and at no point during paying for the upgrade did it mention this.

I have no problem in contributing, actually its one of the reasons I joined was to help others and in turn benefit from it. No doubt I will reach 30 pretty quickly but I don't get the logic behind having these milestones in order to get the benefits that we are promised when we pay to upgrade.

Hi Dan

Sorry, I missed this reply - if you could get that changed for me, that would be great thanks :)

Whilst I'm here - how do I go about becoming a verified business?

Thanks

I wouldn't expect any change in a hurry, it's fast approaching a year since this new forum was launched and it's been abandoned for some time now with many of the suggested changes or promised development phases dumped by Sift.

Developments are being made but not as quick as they should be, basically Sift have one development team for all their sites and each "team" has to approach the development manager and ask for their time on X project for Y time. IMHO each team should have it's own development team to keep on top of the development needed but hey ho!

Yeah, that's been the word for many many months now.

I haven't seen anything change in at least 6 months. And many of the broken bits remain broken 6+ months on.
