The OP didn't answer the phone in the shop, he was already on it. It cost the owner the OP's lunch money now and forever, and all the people the OP has subsequently told too.The shop should receive an award. I would not dream of answering a call if I am engaged with a customer at the time of the call. I have button on my phone that answers the call and sends a text informing them that I will ring them back as soon as I am able. It costs nothing to be polite.
The direction of this thread is exasperating. I need a sandwich.......
