What is the best business mobile phone ?

Both great phones. Better quality business apps for the iPhone and the iPad. We all use both in our company. Same apps work on both devices.
Our sales manager originally got a Galaxy and I got an iPhone 3GS. No comparison as far as apps are concerned.

Blackberry.....you dont get the staff messing about with games all day. Otherwise a shockproof cheap phone unless they need a smart phone. why waste cash.

Never used a BB device, thus could not comment on them. It is true that most people use smartphones for everything but business. It all boils down to what you actually need the phone for. If you are on the road too often (like me) and need to access data, VoIP etc get a smartphone.
As far as iPhone/iPad there are a few good apps which actually help. At least this is the case with me and my colleagues.

It is dependent on what you want it for but I think the future is all Apple. The iPhone's already seem so far ahead of the curve and with 1 in 4 smartphones being iPhones, I think it's a matter of time before it's 4 in 4! (or at least 3 in 4!)

The galaxy s2, or you can wait untill the razr comes out in march. It has things that come with it straight out of that box that most people have to root their phones for, like accessing all of your computer files through your phone as long as your computer is on. <---Sweet feature.

Compared to it's more established competitors who have been going for years longer without any such problems? In a word... yes.

Hopefully it will not have any such problems in the future, but time will tell.

Cheap Android phones are rubbish, so there's not much real competition for low end smartphones. BlackBerries, especially for business, are very good devices.

The Samsung Galaxy SII is still techradar's favourite phone, despite the release of the iPhone 4S. Personally, I'm a fan of the Windows Phone 7 platform. I'm due an upgrade now and it's a toss up between a Galaxy S-II and a HTC Sensation XE (third in techradar's list) but I'll probably stick with my 18 month old HTC 7 Trophy for day to day use.

For me, the minimalist interface of WP7 is far better than anything to have come out from the Apple or Android stables yet (although I've heard good things about the HTC Sense interface). The Nokia Lumia 800 is the best WP7 phone so far and it's been selling well. Probably a cheaper option than the iPhone or the Galaxy.

Some have advocated the BBs. Don't get the cheapo curve. They fall apart too easily. Very flimsy construction on the 8530. The Blackberry Bold is a much sturdier phone. Feels like a brick and weighs like a breeze block. But in white it has to be the sexiest phone on the planet.:D The Blackberries do have their problems, though. The OS can freeze for no reason and they can take what seems like an age to boot up.

Around here, all the kids have BBs. Personally I hate the bloody things!! Do not, under any circumstances, pay to have Blackberry Messenger. It'll just drive you nuts... BING! BING! BING! BING! AAAAAAARRRGHHH!!

Samsung Galaxy Nexus. None of that Samsung crap banged on top of Android, no additional pre-installed apps which you can't remove. Just pure vanilla Android, how it's supposed to be used, on a brilliant device with Google's seal of approval.

If you're looking for something a bit cheaper, the previous Nexus devices will do the job too.

The Blackberries are crap in my opinion, can't wait for RIM to sink and disappear off the earth in the next couple of years :)

I have an iphone for personal calls and just let my business buy me a new Galaxy 2s (thanks business :)).

The Galaxy is better for my business needs in every possible way compared to the iphone. It's a great phone.

But, as I keep saying to everyone who I show it to - it's just not an iphone.

So yes, if you want a great phone for business that lets you do everything you need easily, ties in with all your google apps well and is just generally a great phone, the Galaxy gives you all you need.

If you want a design icon in your pocket, that is slightly inferior to the Galaxy but just feels/looks great, then go for the iphone.

:D

Very good Earl, you still dial using letters?

Why have the changed to numbers?

Thinking of getting a new pidgeon as the old ones is a bit past it.

Anything you can do I can do better without spending a fortune on an Ipod.:p

In fact I only have a mobile in case the car breaks down which lives in the glove box.

seems I an involved in managing some quite large companies without needing a mobile?;)

Funny thing is I have never met one of you Galaxy, Blackberry or Iphone folk who can actually close a deal over the phone.

I have a second hand Nokia 2730 (classic) cost £10 and is the equivalent of a Bentley in my opinion.

Seriously guys...You do not need all that accumulated nonsense now do you ?

iPhone is the worst business phone you can get! Yeah it's great for apps etc but a phone is for making and receiving calls.

I have call divert set up on my office phone and the office phone rings once when diverting.

When I had my iPhone only 50% of the calls would get through, I tried this on every network and on the 3g, 3gs and 4. The same result!

On my HTC it's never happened.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the iPhone. It's a great piece of kit and I have an iPad, but if receiving calls is an important part of your business DON'T use an iPhone, you could be loosing out on a lot of business!

Don't get the SII. If you must get an Android phone, get the Galaxy Nexus.

Or, you can wait a few weeks and see what HTC release at their upcoming event.

Why do you say that personally out of the two i would still go for an S2.

However as you say if you can afford to wait it might be better to hand on for the S3 or seeing what new models HTC come up with.

The SII has all the Samsung crap on it and will take ages to get updates - I had the original SGS and it was terrible for that kind of thing - whereas the Galaxy Nexus gets pure Google updates as soon as they're released with no rubbish bolted on.

There's no contest, the Galaxy Nexus is the better phone even if purely for that reason.

as far as i know,if you wanna email and text communication better, blackberry curve is nice choice...if you wanna take a business phone that also could work as a nice camera, that you could have nokia N8,not too expensive now.

Says he constantly pushing those crap, unreliable BBs

As I said, BlackBerries are very good if all you want is a cheap communications device for business. They are reliable most of the time. Nothing is completely perfect.

I said the GS is the best because it receives instant updates from Google and isn't bogged down by a load of Samsung rubbish, which is all true. How that in any way relates to the fact I don't irrationally hate on an entirely different brand of phone, I don't know.
