I tried to create a link to <<my website>> in my signature, and whilst I'm sure I did this correctly, I got a message saying the link was not permitted. Im not looking to promote my web design company in any way which is unsolicited, but did notice that other people had links in their signatures?

I entered the worthing web designs url, but was told that was not allowed. Any idea why? I don't use this forum much, but I do seem to remember I was not allowed to promote any websites within my first 15 posts. Is creating links to your own web site reserved for older members, perhaps?

Thanks, very helpful, appreciate it. Are there other benefits of membership worth mentioning? Cheers.

You get access to a secret forum which is slightly better than wikileeks.

Its got the faked moon landings, location of Area51 and the really Kennedy assassin in there but other than that its a bit lame.

Also becoming a full member makes you 34% cooler and 45% less likely to drop toast butter side down

Presumably I'll need to pass the usual checks, to ensure I'm neither Government nor attempting to patent a hover cat ;)

Obviously, the test themselves aren't actually that invasive..but you do get the feeling that the doctors don't really love you.
I shall don a white coat myself, under cover of disguise and with the element of surprise, turn the tables unexpectedly assaulting them with my own clever and tricky web design tests. A pretty doctor of the opposite sex would be seduced in no time, surrendering the fee begging me (probably overly optimistic!) to join.

Web designers typically work for scraps of food and second hand clothing these days, so I'll need to dig deep, save long and hard, but one day... one day membership will be mine, Mwahaha! :)

There are benefits that come with being a fully paid up member but they don't appeal to everyone. If you come on here to promote your business and maybe get a little B2B networking going on then it is worth paying the measley £36 to stick a link in your signature.

If like me you come here for a chat and to help (or hinder) others with no intention of promoting your business then free membership is more than adequate.
