Surviva Jak As Seen On Dragons Den

Just an opinion... are you devaluing the product by selling it on Ebay?

The clear need for this business is access to the multiple retailers who specialise in outdoor wear, emergency services, mountain rescue services, etc.....

Selling for under a tenner on ebay seems to suggest that there will be little margin for resellers, but I could be wrong....

So, what is the unit cost for 500 units?

When the distributor is selling the product on eBay, this is a clear sign to stay away. I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole for our camping gear site.

Hi,

first - a great product - well done fo getting as far as you have.

Second - would it be right to assume that you are not much further down the line than you were on DD?

I have to agree that selling direct on ebay does not give the right messages, however, Amazon does not give a potentially warmer feeling.

I am sure you have done a lot of thinking about ways to take it, but this is one of 3 items in the past 3 episodes I really thought did not need an investment, only some direction!

No the rrp is £9.99 and everyone should be selling at that price - discounting is not encouraged.

Please email directly for more details [email protected]

Hi Brook how would you ensure discounting would not happen ,bearing in mind price fixing is illegal.?

What scientific evidence have you that the jaks are 4 times more efficient than an ordinary foil blanket.?

Would the wholsale price for an order of 500 be £2.20 per unit.?

Have you a website .?.If so how is it doing for the relevant keywords.

I might be interested in your product if the information stacks up.

P.S did the tie up with Deborah go ahead.?

Ebay sales are not the start of any aspirational roads that's for sure, especially with their seller's fee structures and then the Paypal fees on top. However, it is a form of cashflow - efficient or otherwise.

The only upside with ebay is that used correctly it is a fairly good (and reasonably cheap) means of international marketing - assuming the people you WANT to see it, do see it.

The real answer Brook22 is find yourself some distributors and resellers, rather than expending so much time, effort and money on ebay sales direct to the public.

I saw that episode of dragons den.

It instantly struck me being an ex search and rescue volunteer and ski guide in the Canadian Rocky Mountains as well as being an ex army officer trained in advanced survival, that this product defeats the primary purpose of hypothermic rescue concepts.

At worst you try to stabalise the casualties core tempreture. At best you try to improve it gradually until they can get to proper treatment and are outside the area of immediate danger. By having the limbs outside the rate of cooling will be exactly the same in a best case situation where the casualty is properly dressed, not in wet clothing and is simply losing to much heat.

For a bad situation where the casualty has injuries or has gone through an emmersion event you need to get them out of there clothing ASAP and that means cutting it off and getting them as dry as possible. If your cutting away clothing due to injury there is no way you are going to putting a suite of any form back on thereby rendering the benefits of carry something like this ineffective and the inferior choice.

The first rule of survival and even rescue is always plan for the worst and always always have the kit that gives you the best chance to get out when the worst happens or help someone else get out if you happen upon them.

The only casualty type this would be good for is someone not injured, dry and walking fit which are unfortunatly few and far between when it gets bad enough to bring out space blankets in the first place.

Please note. Brook22 is not an aurthorised distributor for Surviva Products.

All trade and wholsale queries should be directed through survivawear . com

Thank you.

Classic.

Thank you for clarifying. However, regardless of whether he is an authorised distributor, there is nothing you can do to stop him distributing your product, apart from not selling to him.
