How are Harrods Buyers

Hi Everyone

I'm trying to find a lead into stores such as Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, for a jewellery brand I am working on.

If anyone knows anyone on the inside I would very much appreciate a Private DM.

Thakyou

I agree with the above posts regarding calling their respective head offices and requesting the information - then taking it from there.

Another way that's worked for me in the past has been to make sure you have a stand at your biggest trade show (obviously relevant to your line of business).

The bigger players tend to have a few people doing research on day one and then pooling info for future days when the decision makers (buyers) tend to 'come into town' and re-visit the stands that have products of interest to them.

It certainly worked for us and we attracted Harrods onto our stand one year without any previous conversations.

Good luck - whichever route you take!

    Hi,

Just a quick overview before I ask my question, we are portrait artists, we paint from photos professionally and its our full time job. We have a fully e-commerce website, blog, forum and well designed website promoting our pet and people portraits.

Its the time of year again when we are fully booked for portraits for Christmas orders, but January is always a slow time of year for ordering, so we like to have an overspill with people ordering gift vouchers.

We would like to catch the impulse buys from shoppers who need to buy a Christmas present and don't know what to get.

Does anyone have any good ideas in promoting gift vouchers to customers?

Has anyone produced their own giftvouchers and found good ways or creating an inviting and sellable voucher pack or webpages that really work?

I would be interested in hearing anyones experiences and ideas : )

The best reply I could give you is "If you don't ask you will never get" Just ring them up and ask for the head of that department if you can get a name then that will probably be better as you will get past the gate keeper with alot less of a struggle.
