Effect of increased energy costs on your business?

Same goes here - but I think we actually saved some money! Our expensive contract with a big 6 supplier (which shall remain unnamed) was up for rewnewal, so we shopped around for the best deal.

We read something in the news section on a supplier called E4B website that prices were going to rocket earlier in the year, so we fixed our prices in a 4 year deal. So when it comes to renewal time in 3 1/2 years, we will do the same, rather than be rolled into an expensive evergreen contract!

Well, what a Spam post - your web address in your profile is E4B!

I've just come off the phone from your shower of a company this morning.

Thanks to continued estimated readings Electricity4Business owe me £1200+

Apparently I was sent a letter before my renewal date stating the increased rates, this was not received, but your terms and conditions state that 72 hours after sending a letter it is treated as being received by the customer - what a scam!

Also, I cannot now leave E4B unless I pay a £300+ cancellation fee, as my contract has been 'rolled over' for another year - what a rip off!

Anyone thinking of signing up, have a look here first;

Sadly there are many areas of service provision where that sort of stunt is still pulled, and it's nearly always buried in the small print, the idea being that if you haven't jumped through ten hoops on the second Sunday after the fifth full moon you are locked in for life.

An area ripe for legislation IMHO.

We've had an email today from the advisory service who organised the contract advising us to cancel the direct debit. I'm not 100% sure that seems right until I've read the contract, but I'm guessing that E4B are in default and so contract now void.

Congrats on getting your refund too.
