    I've not voted because my fave is the US Apprentice, but I'd not vote for the UK version.

    I like dragons den,but they seem to like sacking my favourite dragon. First Doug and then Richard. Hmm!

    I wish they'd show Troubleshooter again because it was before my business days and I think Sir John Harvey-Jones is worth listening to.

    What a great list. I think I've seen most of them.

    The Apprentice won't get as many votes as it should on here because of our collective dislike of working for someone else, but for me it is miles ahead of the rest.

    Surely James Max selling wooly jumpers with wolves on has to be one of the funniest bits of TV in the last decade.

    Wasn't Badger or Bust a bit too much about Badger the big I am?

    Bring back Troubleshooter. We could all send that comment to the BBC. Do we think they own the rights to show it?

    I'll have to go back through my library of books. Some relate specifically to business while others relate to how business can affect life. Among my favourites are:

    Good to Great (Jim Collins)
    Built to Last (Jim Collins)
    The End of Poverty (Jeffrey Sachs)
    The Generosity Factor (Ken Blanchard - about Truett Cathy)
    How to Win Friends & Influence People (Carnegie)
    The Lexus and the Olive Tree (Tom Friedman)
    The World is Flat (Tom Friedman)
    Emyth Revisited (Michael Gerber)
    The Wisdom of Crowds (James Surowiecki)
    The Five Dysfunctions of a Team (Patrick Lencioni)

    Plus, I enjoyed reading the histories of eBay and Google.

    As for business magazines, I subscribe to Harvard Business Review (a really good publication that I'd recommend to anyone in business), Entrepreneur, and Business 2.0 (which I read just to get ideas).

    Hey Dan,

    Tycoon was embarrassing to watch. A real shame as I had hoped Peter Jones would have made a greater impact with it. The show seemed to dissapear for a while as well - or was that just me?

    Dragons Den, sometimes makes me cringe, but I love Duncan so will always watch

    Apprentice - interesting at times...

    Overall, I think it's great for any entrepreneur to watch such programmes; it promotes motivation and the will to succeed (it does for me anyway). There's often a lot of learnings to be made - sadly at the contestants expense.

    I think most savvy viewers are aware of the editing of such programmes and can enjoy them for what they are - entertainment :)

    Risking It All without a doubt. I was absolutely glued to it when it was on tv and it's the most inspirational programme I have seen. I would credit this as opening my eyes to the possibility that there were other options than being a small cog in a bit corporate wheel and gave me the confidence to take the first steps on the path to running my own business.

    Anyone know if it's on again anytime soon? :D
