Your thoughts on my brilliant new website !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone...

just wanted to let everyone here know about my new website, which I have finally got round to having designed and built.Robert from DABCOM,did the whole lay-out and design, took the photographs and built it.I was absolutely thrilled with the end result.
A fantastic use of the colours purple and lilac, and lots of clever little twists here and there, such as the yellow-gemstoned butterfly at the top of each page,at a certain angle as if it was about to take off. When it comes to jewellery websites,it's vital that the site reflects the product. My jewellery is quite modern and contemporary, and I feel Robert captured it perfectly in what he designed for me.
Lots of imagination and flair, which is what you would expect from someone like Robert at DABCOM,hopefully as the months go on we can double the size of the site to include even more pieces.

Love to hear your thoughts....

Adrian.

Hi Adrian, the site looks great, very simple and easy to navigate and I like the purple backgrond.

The only thing that lets it down slightly, is the quality of the photography and the way it has been pasted onto the site (you can see fuzzy edges around each image)

I'm not a web designer, so I don't how you could go about sorting it, but I,m sure one of the web design crowd will be along in a mo! :D

well done though, i'm waiting for my site to be redesigned and it's an agonizing wait!

You will be pleased to know that I have certificates in food hygiene and health and safety, with regards to catering.....`it's a long story`.

Thanks also for the constructive comments on the new website,I'm more than happy with the overall style and presentation of the website,in regards to the photos, jewellery is notoriously hard to photograph, and credit to Robert at DABCOM,he did plenty of research into the best way to tackle this problem, and like I said,I'am more than happy with the final result. The purple and lilac combination was spot on as well.

Claire, have you heard of a company called `DELAWARE NORTH COMPANIES`,they are one of the biggest catering/hospitatily companies in the world, worth around $1.6billion,and they employ over 30,000 people across the world!!!!!google them,as it is an amazing tale of a real `rags to riches` story.

Have a great 2006....Adrian.

A great start to 2006,it has put me on a real high....

Dabcom went to painstaking lenghts to get it just right, like I said in my first post....it needed to be stylish,as it reflected what the product was all about, and purple is quite a`luxurious`colour...can't really think of a better colour !!!!!!

I want to start adding pages already.....

I like the jewellery a lot and the purple colour is very nice but I think I do find the images set on a curling piece of background a bit on the busy side.

I would serioulsy listen to the comments people have made because although you are in love with the site you are selling to regular people like those above whose first impressions are not so overwhelmed.

I look forward to seeing it a bit more functional - will you be selling from this site?

I think you just need to complete the task of giving all images an alt text and when the pages are added ensure that all images can be clicked and this should take you straight to the page where they can be bought. People love to click images.

I'm sure you will sell lots off this site, partly due to the quality of presentation but also due to the beauty and originalilty of the jewellery design.

Good luck with it.

yes,it would be a good idea to sell from the site,at the moment there isn't the money to go into with what I would have in mind. But,I wiil definately consider it for the future....as for the curling parts under the photos, that's one of my favourite parts!!!!!!!

Also, those `Kushla` rings are patented, and are only available from Sanaer....very unusual, and a very dramatic ring, for the David Beckhams and Posh Spices` among us.

Adrian.

A website designer needs to be an artist of sorts....and with Robert from DABCOM,you are employing someone with a serious flair for the artistc side of webdesign. :D
