yahoo spamming

I dont know if anyone else is getting problems like this but i am recieving about 25 spam mails a day from random users @yahoo.com.

done a virus check on my machine and nothing has come up. it is normally quite filthy too which isnt too good when you have contractors doing your email

i have set up mail rules to clear up most of them but to be honest i would rather they didnt hit my mailbox

has anyone else had this problem and sorted it? cant see anythign on google that is relevant

We run a custom spam blocker configuration on our servers which stops anyone on a blacklist from emailing you.

Then next level down we have a spam filter (filter by words and domains etc)

Then next level down we run spam assassin.

The occasional bit of spam still gets through.

You'd need to host with us to reap the benefits though ;)

if you dont ask then you dont get.

i made another post not so long ago in IT and internet looking for a host that could provide certain things and do them all for me (i dont have the time to organise it all to be honest)

have a look in the laptop reccomendation post in here and see if it is something you can provide :)

Sorry for the shameless plug.

I must have missed that post ;)

I'll have a look and see if we can help!

My old host (god I miss them), used to let you do all that domain blocking and had heaps of anti-spam options but the current one.....

Lets put it this way, I wouldent advise anyone to host with their ISP. Great net conn but lousy hosting options. Once my contracts up il be switching back to a dedicated hosting company.
