Xero, HubDoc, and Storefeeder

Hi All

I have never used Xero before and there is a retailer who wants it integrated into Storefeeder.

I have been setting Xero up and encountered problems with HubDoc. It appears to be linked to Xero, but after uploading PDFs into it they are just sat there with a triangle that has an exclamation mark inside saying review. There is nothing obviously wrong, all boxes below Publish & Proceed are filled, but there is nothing send to Xero when clicking the button.

Should they get green ticks when fed through to Xero? Thats missing. Have I setup the link to Xero correctly? (I mean I must have, as I got to HubDoc through Xero). Any insights into what could be going wrong?

    Yes, you're right; you'll get a green tick when it's fed through to Xero, so that says to me that there's still something missing or incorrect in the information that HubDoc has pulled off the invoice, so it can't push it through.

    Have you checked:
    • Supplier Name - this must match an existing contact in Xero, or it won’t publish.
    • Account code & tax rate - ensure an expense account and VAT rate are selected.
    • Date & Total - if HubDoc couldn’t extract these properly, it might need manual correction.
    Treat your review like a monkey did the work, go through each field and agree it back to the invoice - I've had this problem before, it looks basically right, but there was something that wasn't quite right and stopped it from publishing.

    If you're happy the info on the page is correct, the only other thing I can think of is to re-link Xero - unlink it in the settings and then re-link it.

    After that, it might be a request for help from Xero.
