Do not worry it matters not a jot. will not effect nothing its something that the later browsers are doing ..

they just chose to drop the http and www bit on the browser your original http www etc etc will always remain the same.

You currently have not set up a 301 redirect for your domain structure variation.

You need to be able to build links to all variations of your domain to appear natural. If you don't do the redirect you leak link juice.

As for the display of the domain in the serps, you can change that in webmaster tools, but hardly worth bothering with.

In our opinion the choice between w w w and non w w w. domains, is a matter of personal preference.

When it comes to subdomains however, we like to recommend that a keyword rich subdomain is used as an alternative to w w w. variations.

For example our primary domain is now marketing.newagemedialtd.com

We ran an number of trials on this strategy towards the end of last year, and our main test candidate seo.charitycambodia.com ranked 1st on Google for "SEO Cambodia" without the need for any external link building.

You do have the choice (with Google anyways) of how your website is displayed within the SERPS, this is purely from a user perspective. I would have your website either www or nonwww and have the other version a 301 redirect to your chosen form.

I'm not sure if your question has now been answered but what you should do is setup a redirect so that either http : // www . yourdomain . com redirects to http : // yourdomain .com or vice-versa (this is beneficial for lots of reasons).

You can do this in a number of ways but one of the easiest is using something called the htaccess file. Please do let me know if you would like some assistance with this.

Search engines rank URLs,  not websites, and not webpages. They treat each unique URL as a different page, and place it in their index. It's called canonical issue and views as spam in the eyes of search engine and showing duplicity with. Web pages so that redirect not web pages with otherwise ranking doing down any time.

Search Engine Will consider the web urls with www or without it doesn't matter a lot. Previously it was showing different results if traffic comes from with www and without www You can use 301 redirection to redirect without www to with www web url.

Debatable! However, the main reason for implementing a 301 redirection properly is to avoid duplication issues for your site. As of the Google Panda update last year, Google started penalising sites with duplicate content heavily.

301 redirection along with Canonical Tags helps resolve these duplications issues, and helps ensure that only the correct version of a website is indexed.
