Alrighty There People!

I'm no web designer, but a mate asked me to put a site together for him.

What do you think? Don't be too harsh, remember - I'm not a designer!

 

It look ok to me although it doesn't really work properly in Firefox. The copy needs work - it's too wordy and has spelling errors (although I realise that's not your problem!).

I like it. Can't see any problems with Firefox. As this site is just an informative site then I think there is just enough information on it, it's all in the right places and it certainly would make me pick up the phone and call if I was looking for a tutor.

Plaintext - can you point out the spelling errors, I did try running it through a spell checker, but is there something obvious I missed?

Thanks toon, that's all he wanted - a basic site, offering contact details, and a little bit more information. At the end of the day, its not the type of site that you expect people to return to often.

 

License should be licence. That's the main one that jumpted out at me. I must admit I only skimmed the copy so I haven't noticed any other obvious ones. I could take another look later.

I think it's fine for a beginner. Most beginners unleash all sorts of colours and animated gifs - and you've shown commendable restraint. This is a good thing.

I think your navigation bar should be nearer your masthead at the top on each page. But that's personal preference on my part.
