Hi guys we run a small but successful plumbing and bathroom install business in the North East we are looking into a number of ways to improve our sales mainly through enhancing the customer experience

i recently had a friend have his kitchen installed by Wren now part of the sales process they send a text message with a link to his "dream kitchen" which im assuming they designed on some sort of cad / custom software they have built its very impressive when you click the link and get the 3D tour

im curious if anyone knows much about this process what the cost of buying similar software for ourselves would be or if anyone knows more about the Wren software im on about

I have a contact who works at Wren at Retail World, Team Valley in Gateshead and have seen the software they use for this. You're correct it is very impressive. I imagine Wren would of had this made bespoke for them. Costing a small fortune.

As for off the shelf software I am not sure. I know of software/apps that can design your dream room etc but they very generic and limited in what they can do.

How big is your business? Is it something that you feel is essential to increase sales?

I assumed as much in regards to they have had it made bespoke do you think your friend might have any info or insights that might be helpfull it isn't essential but if I'm impressed by it i know my customers will be even more impressed i happily fork out say 5K but i dont know much about this stuff maybe i am way of the mark and software of this nature cost 10K + ? or more at which point i have to think about if the investment is worth it.

Thank you I’m completely naive to the cost of something like this what do you feel a fair estimate would be ?

A subscription for Revit Autodesk is a couple of grand a year. Something like Sketchup, much cheaper.

Someone who can use it for 3D kitchen mock-ups maybe £20 an hour?

A bespoke software package that any fool can use is likely to be many, many multiples of this?
