We undertake this sort of business development/marketing for clients where you/we market your services/products to a niche market through a new brand and website. An affailiate or JV contract is undertaken to ensure you are not seen directly connected with this new venture ensuring harmony with your current clients and agents etc. !!

There are only two ways to erect your home at less expense. The first is to get a contractor who will agree to build your home as you want it, without reducing qualities, at a lower price. The second is to reduce your requirements, to take less than you want, both as to quality and quantity. These are the only ways to reduce costs. Your home will cost more or less, depending upon what sort of a bargain you can drive with the man who builds it, and the qualities of materials you use and to what extent your home is completed.

I have all my material prices on my system for when i quote a job, I buy my materials from my regular suppliers who offer me good service and get it to me when i need it, often going out of their way to fit me in last minute
If something seems a lot more than I expected / quote then I will ask if they can do anything on the price and more often than not they can. If not I will take the hit and update my system for next time.
Bad service cost me more in time than the £30 - £50 I can save by shopping around
My customers are the same by employing my services and getting the job done the way they want it rather than trying to save a couple of quid with someone they dont know.

Its not all about price, in fact that comes pretty low down the list

The problem with sourcing from a search would be how many alarms would meet that brief spec I would guess you would be talking hundreds, certainly enough to make like for like comparisons hard. Also as this would be in your specialist field I would suggest that you would have better supplier knowledge but if you send me the make and model we'll give it a go

Not really on the wireless side of intruder!

This where trades and public clash!

Say joe blogs comes to you and says I want an alarm system ( either wired or wireless ) 4 zones panel RKP bell box 2 contacts and 100m of 8c

Would you research what product is best or cheapest?

Then say joe blogs comes to me I advise them on what actually is the best for them quote them and they tell me I am ripping them off as they can buy it from you at ££££
Joe doesn't care that I'm the professional he just see it as me ripping him off!

Personally I think you need 2 levels one tradesman one joe blogs!
