Would You Pay To Advertise On a Van?

considering a start up where local businesses without thier own fleet get the opportunity to advertise on other peoples vehicles.

If you could advertise your business on the back of a large (e.g transit) well kept white van covering about 2000 miles a month with details of routes and verified mileage in your local area for £50 month + livery application cost, would that interest anyone?

What if the driver drives like a **** or the van is filthy/ dented? I am not sure I would want my co. associated with someone like that. However, depending on the cost of applying the logo, it's a fairly cheap way to advertise if you have the right product I suppose?

take your point, bus and taxi drivers drive like ***** but they're used, the vehicle owner would take a photo every month or 2 to make sure it's up to scratch and photos when registering, a prerequisite would be undamaged. obviously we would state they have drive within the law, carefully etc etc, but that couldn't be upheld for every driver all the time. the plus side is it's a cheap effective alternative to bus/taxi/billboard ads, for a bus shelter ad in my town costs £750 a month.

Very true, there are lots of bad bus and taxi drivers out there, BUT people know these are adverts, whereas on the side of a van advertising ABC Widgets, people might assume that it also belongs to ABC Widgets.

Not saying it is a bad idea, because the costs ar reasonable, perhaps too reasonable? £50 between you and the guy driving the van per month isn't going to be much really is it?

Personally I probably would not buy it, as my business is not the kind of thing that you can really advertise in this manner, but I can see that it would appeal to a lot of people on here.

the cash reward may be too small, but the ad has to be cheaper than a bus/taxi which is on the road more. it would mostly be 12 month durations, so £600 a year could pay the tax and insurance.

i think the main problem would be if the advertiser could get enough value out of the ad to pay the driver and middleman.
