Its been tried in the past. To get any decent money you need plenty of ads and then if the ads are small no-one will see them. Plus its never been proven (because you cannot measure it) just how effective this form of marketing is for an advertiser.
Yes but you have no real measure of conversion, how many times someone saw the ad before responding, no time of day/day tracking.
You don't, but you can still measure it by ROI. It's the same as billboard advertising in that sense, isn't it?
Yes it is the same as billboard, its *passive*. Fine for the big boys who want to increase awareness, not much good for small businesses where every marketing pound has to a) make money or b) help the business understand what they need to change to make the campaign effective.
Just a quicke.
Would you ever allow advert on your car for some extra cash? Obviously your brand new BMW would be out of the question but what about an older less desirable car?
Coincidentally, I'm about to place some removable magnets to my (private) car door to draw attention to my business website. Figure on using them when I go to cities, industrial areas, the airport etc. Let's face it, it can't do any harm and you never know.
I'd say that it all depends on the type of business though and as my business offers services for a very wide range of clients including private individuals, it's potentially a cheap advertising method. Let's see what happens![]()
My daughter advertises her beauty business by having advertising on her car. It certainly gets her business noticed and as she works from home, her new clients can easily find her. I think the cost to have vinyl logos over most body panels was £150, so it was worth it just in awareness.
No - I advertised my own business on my car for several years but took it off as I was fed up with the rude anonymous notes left on my car for parking in residential streets, completely legally and properly, but people were just riled by the fact that it was a "commercial" vehicle when actually it wasn't, it was a personal car but with adverts on it.
It got to me in the end so I peeled all the stickers off one day. I haven't had a note left on my car since.
