Would you consider yourself to be workaholic

workaholic or just trying to make yourself successful? thats the question.

i don't much like those that close their doors at 5pm and then thats it..no more business talk..no going down the pub for a quick chat and to find out some info on competitors..thats what its all about surely. thats the thrill of running your own business..its 24 hours a day, you are the business <<< maybe i'm a workaholic though..oh dear!

That was more of a flippant remark.

I have my finger in a few pies, but the business that pays the bills is a small publishing business.

I do a lot of my work in the evening when the phone is less likely to ring, and I keep my browser open on this site to see what's cracking off!

ESK,

I agree, the business worl id 24/7, but personally i do think that i am a workholic, i love the idea of success and sometimes will stay at work till 3am or work at home till the early morning.

The good thing is that i have seen the results of my hardwork. If i wasn't seeing any results then i would question my motive.

I'm not a workaholic, but I usually put in about 100 hours per week. I get grumpy, and most weeks I wonder why I bother, but on the whole it is a part of a small startup company if you intend to succeed.

I am about 20 months into a 36 month plan, so gotta keep at it until I can next review it all :)

On here is a little light relief whilst PC's churn away behind me, and I also get to pick up some very good tips from people, as well as pick up the odd contact for future reference.

A 'workaholic' might be hard to define tbh, and most of the mob on here would muddy that definition further.

My Names Nathan and Im a Workaholic!

I must admit - I tend to do a lot of the programming work for my clients during the evenings, as there are a lot less distractions - but im always available on the phone!

I try to cut off at 9pm at night and relax though for at least a couple hours before bed, but usually tinker till around midnight scheduling in work for the next day

I'm thinking about my business 24/7. I eat, sleep and breath it. I carry a BlackBerry with me at all times so I can be available to clients all hours of the day (weekends included). Why? Because I enjoy running my own business and helping others to run theirs.

I would not say I am a workaholic. I was self employed working from home until December 2008 and I did slack off a little going shopping and watching TV etc not working a full working week. Foolishly I agreed to set up a business with hubby part of a franchise of his job, with me managing the business whilst he at work, and part of our business is an internet & gaming cafe so hubby comes to the shop after working elsewhere then plays the games saying he is not playing that it is work testing games are working correctly for our customers whilst I want to get home because I have been working 8am - 6pm.
