Hi
We have a Ltd company with one premises. We get full business rate relief. We're looking at a second salon. The lease will be in my husband's name (the lease on current property is in my name). I'm the only director of the first salon and I'll be the only director of the second salon. It's my understanding that if we run both salons under one business name we'll end up paying business rates on both properties as we'll be over the limit for rate relief.
Is there anyway to prevent this? Can we call the first salon, SALON No.1 Ltd and the second SALON No.2 Ltd (with our business name replacing SALON)? We would be marketing the businesses by one website but showing details of the different salons.
Many thanks
