Working this Weekend?

Yep, me too.

Flat out at the moment. 6.30am to 3pm on Saturday then 6.30am to 10.00am Sunday. It's amazing how quietly I can dig holes at 6.30 in the morning!

I'm looking forward to regaining the 'Friday feeling' very soon though!
cheers, Nigel

Good point!

As I have a 2 year old, no childcare, a house to run, a business to run (on my own) and a husband who works 2 nights and 7 days a week on a rotating shift - I never know what day of the week it is, as they are all the same!

I work seven days a week, as well, as I have so much juggling to do!!

Yup I can agree that all my days seem the same now!!

In fact it's not something I really thought about until just.

I just hardly ever seem to switch off. I find it impossible to believe that I used to languish in the bath for hours because that's something I just can't do now because I feel so restless after five minutes and my mind's racing onto the next thing.

God I wish I was more chilled!!!

Get a dog, great stress relief :D I only work Part time in the shop now, so I get weekends off, still have all the books, VAT etc. to do and look after the house. I love it, I would work 24hrs a day from home and enjoy it, as long as I had no staff to look after. I only get stressed at work now because of my dog, he keeps my mind off of work and he makes me laugh. I love my dog :D

I find that I work 3hours a week from my yacht and i am knackered.

Sorry!! trying to lighten what is a 7 days a week 365 a year hard slog for most of us. I probably do about 70/ 80 hrs a week.

Well that's what you get from living the Celeb' life style

All of you should try and take off one day a week (none work), you'll feel much better and be more productive in the long run. Don't forget, you work to live, not live to work.

Yep... here too, I am working most of the time! I can't even walk past my desk without having a quick look at something, or sending an email, or researching an idea...

I suppose it's because I enjoy it otherwise I wouldn't do it!

At home my husband (who also runs his own business) and I made a rule to close the laptop and office door on Friday night and not re-open until Sunday evening... but it didn't work! We help eachother with our businesses and often work together on projects, either his or mine... so at least we are working together

Anyway better carry on... work to do!!!

Marina
P.S. Jayne I have a dog as well! She often nudges me in the ribs to remind me there is a life outside the office!

Like Top Hat I work 9-5 mon-fri and couple hours at the weekend.

We used to work a lot longer but you can't keep that up forever. We've been running SillyJokes for 6 years next Oct.

We have the usual juggling act to do as well since there are four kids to fit in amongst everything else. This is the part I find hard because your day starts at 7am and after the office it's another hectic three hours of feeding and homework before they go to bed and I can finally sit down.

In the end the self employed person always puts in so much but then if the business is a success they get the rewards.

My ultimate goal is to have a permanent domestic worker who does all the rubbish jobs like washing and ironing.
