Working out pricing for Amazon US/CA & Europe

Trying to increase our sales opportunity by expanding to Amazon.com & Amazon.ca and also now operating on the new Amazon platform which will let me sell across Europe from one channel.

My biggest head ache is working out my pricing/costs to see whether I can be competitive. I'm struggling with working out prices from Euros>Pounds especially as our buying price is in £...

Also how can I sell using FBA to European marketplaces?

Any advice from anybody who has been down this route would be useful.

Amazon offers a couple of ways to fulfil orders to Europe, either from UK fulfilment centres or centres in a particular country like Germany. Both have different costs etc.. You can find out the information by searching Amazon European Fulfilment Network

Not too sure on the Amazon US side of things as it is a completely different site but I'm sure you can send your goods to the US/CA fulfilment centres as well.

with international selling you are always at the mercy of the exchange rate and as you might not get your payment for up to 2 weeks then this can cause the exchange rate to be quite different from when you set the price. What I would recommend is to just use google for the rough exchange rate (i.e goggle £ to Euro) then add a chunk on (remember that the google exchange rate will be better than what you would receive through Amazon and will fluctuate). Be careful about trying to be competitive, you only want to do it as long as you are still making a healthy profit incase the Euro/dollar falls in value quickly.

FBA gives you 2 different options. You can either sell your stock from their UK warehouse (very expensive) or use their warehouses in each country. make sure to include the cost of sending the items to the warehouse when you consider the costs.
