Workforce management software?

Using SharePoint on-line in Office 365 you can design and build your own. Office 365 really is the 'no code' choice for creating management software. The data containers can hold documents and/or data, tasks can be triggered by date or by event, security, access and collaboration is handled centrally. As no coding is necessary you need nothing more than spreadsheet level skills. However, if you need help in visualising the overall structure or creating the libraries and workflows it will cost a whole lot less than traditional software development. PM me for more detail, I can do on-line demo's and models to help you make up your mind.

If you haven't already be sure to write down all the functionality you want from a workforce management tool and compare it against the options you consider. Also (if applicable) how it integrates (if at all) with other tools in your business.

Take a look at "workflowmax" and also try to search out solutions that have been specifically designed with your industry in mind.

Good luck.

Have a look at Synel UK. I work with Timelogweb, it comes with a graphical Scheduler, groups of employees may be scheduled to work specific patterns of shifts, has also a mobile app designed for mobile workforce. Tracks attendance, breaks, requests, absences. No problems so far.

if you want it to flow in and out of other systems (export to sage, import from time clocking in machines, custom business reports, export to mobile devices), I find a custom built database is the best option. If it's worth the investment to get precisely what your business needs.
