I discovered recently that Click & Drop (REST API) was designed to send the tracking number for each package back to Woocommerce and that the tracking number would be written to the "Notes" field for the respective customer. In addition, it would trigger the re-classification from "Pending" to "Completed".
Well, with us, the tracking numbers were not getting written to Notes but the reclassification to "Completed was being done.
We explored multiple possibilities however we got an insight when we set an ASPI logger and this showed the "Push" and "Pull" messages between Wooo and C&D. It showed that the API was sending the tracking together with the text for the "Notes" field.
Eventually, the penny dropped and we guessed that Woo was send it's own "Completed" message to the customer BEFORE it had written the tracking into the Notes field.
We then developed our own plug in to defer the sending of emails by Woo for 2 minutes.
Problem solved! No more manual adding of tracking details. Customers are happy and we are delighted.
