Wireless signal issue

Hey guys

I have just set up a new broadband service 30mb which is super fast when connect with a cable into the router, however I am having issues with wireless. It drops to 0.5mb on speed tests.

I have tested another laptop and I can get 20mb speeds, so it is something with my laptop. Does anyone have and ideas how to check and fix an issue like this?

I have the same problem with my computer which has built in wifi. I cured the problem by connecting an external USB adapter and connecting via that instead.

The first thing to do would be to check for driver updates for the wireless card.

Do that and report back.

Make sure the adaptor can support and is set to use band G or N (ideally N).
