hello all

i run a gardening bussiness and during the winter trade is slow

i am thinking of a grit bin hire bussiness during the winter

a black bin with a lid and a removable pannel at the front

i intend to hire for 4.50 per week and about 30.00 for the grit puls a 50.00 depoist but they cost 125.00

Sounds like a reasonable enough business idea, but I wonder if it works for you? Your problem is that you have a seasonal business that is affected by the weather. Is another seasonal business also affected by the weather a good idea? Are you not risking having both underperforming one after the other that way?

I have a friend in the same business and in the winter he does all kinds of other work in his customers' gardens. Things like erecting fencing or sheds, rubbish clearance, that sort of thing. He's always busy during the winter months. It may be worth your while looking into doing that and obviously there's little or no cash outlay required.

Good luck.
