Hey
do you think you will move to windows 8?
i heard it's going to be really good. also, the main advantage is that it will be availiable to the tablets. which is great.

what do you think?

I've been scratching around trying to think of a reason to buy something shiny. There is nothing in my life that could be enhanced by an Apple touch screen phone or tablet... but Microsoft's Surface has been designed for business and has some very interesting developer possibilities.

But, does it make sense above my laptop? Hmm even with Windows 8 on I'm struggling to justify it... maybe to look flash in meetings :|:p

We ran the preview, very xbox like (Microsoft calls it the Metro Interface) there is some evidence that the final consumer release will not have a Start Button or the Start Menu..even as a choice. but we saw that coming a long time ago when Microsoft removed the word START from the button since Vista!

MS is spending a hell lot of money merging it's Windows divison into Xbox (rumours of the Next Xbox having the infinity symbol, an 8 turned sideways) Tablets (Microsoft Surface RT, ipad competitor) to better serve the causal entertainment sectors.

I didn't download the beta version and I'm still not sure whether I want to try it or not. Win 7 works fine for me, I installed it only a few months ago. I think I'm gonna wait until they have sorted out the teething issues!

It's a question of necessity, do you buy it to be at the forefront of OS for the sake of it, or is there something in Win 8 that will improve the way you do business?

Look at Gillette, they had to resort to slagging off their previous "best ever" razor because no-one was buying their new "bestest ever" razor

Win 7 is a good OS, I cannot think of a single OS-specific function that could help me do business better.
