Can anyone recommend any wifi hotspot software that makes connected devices register an email and password? The network has a Win2003 already running so I presume any software can be installed on here and redirected through the router?

*or possibly an online solution

yes public to connect to wifi redirecting to login page. The solution doesn't have to use a local server.

@aaron are you aware of the term 'recommendation'? Google doesn't tell you with any amount of accuracy or unbias which is the cheapest most effective solution.

Yes indeed I can as I did this recently for beauty salon.

Essentially we set them up a guest Wifi, made it so guests had to agree to a terms and conditions, then were redirected to the beauty salons facebook page.

We used an ASUS http://uk.asus.com/Networks/Wireless_Routers/RTN16/ wifi box

Then used the DD-WRT firmware, essentially puts custom software with very advanced features on the router.

To save you some of the headaches we had

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Asus_RT-N16 <--- installation for the Asus RT-N16 router
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/NoCatSplash <-- There are very many different options for the DD-WRT but this is the one you want for what you want to do.
