I recently opened a business account with Barclays and I've noticed when I purchase something online using my business account, it doesn't appear in the transaction section when I check my online/mobile banking.
E.g. when I make a purchase online with my personal bank account, I would be able to immediately see the transaction made. however, with my business account, it doesn't (it just shows the money that was funded in). I know sometimes it may take a business a couple days before they actually get the money (something like 3-5 working days) however, it's been more than 5 days. I've kept a journal of every transaction I made with the business account, I just feel like something isn't right.
my question is, is this normal for a business account to not show transaction made straight away especially if I purchase something online and will it at least show on my monthly statement? I guess I can simply call them up and ask but I'd rather save the humiliation of asking a silly question over the phone for later.
