Greetings all,
A company in China owes me money, and have asked for my bank details in order to transfer it. I gave them my sort code and bank account number. But now they want my address too. Do they really need it? I can't think why..
Eastern.
I would expect them to need a name, but not an address.
They might need it just for their internal records, but I can understand why you might be worried. Transactions between different countries often vary in the amount of information needed. They could use Western Union Money Transfer instead? I know that is widely available there.
You don't happen to have an empty account you could use for this transaction instead do you?
Failing that, have you looked into the company in question? They are from China but they may actually be quite well established, they can't all be fraudsters - surely!
Right! They owe me a refund for failing to make my product sample to my specifications and then refusing to alter it contrary to what they had promised me before. The owe you money ?
Surely your address is on the invoice you sent them ? :|
