The guys living on cloud cuckoo land if he thinks he is going to get permanent links on 4 sites where the page where the link will reside on will have PR8 status, all for £150-£200 :D

A single PR7 link costs around £1500 per year to rent (on a page with low olb), so I’d imagine that 4 x PR8 permanent links would be in the 6 figure region and that’s assuming that anyone is even willing to risk their site by selling links on it.

For £150-£200 it’s possible if the PR of the root domain is a PR8 and his link resides on that sites inner page (which has no or very little PR).

Two ways to look at that. A site with no relevancy will only help in rankings.

A site which is relevant will help in rankings and in getting people to click through from that site to yours.

Although the former is much more likely (especially when dealing with high PR sites). Ask yourself how many relevant PR6+ sites are going to allow links to their competitors or others in the same industry as themselves?

Yet another SEO Guru, ha. It's fine using page rank as a factor for backlinking as 99% of the time the page you get a link from is poor, we managed to get some backlinks for PR 9's including Microsoft.com but the page was worthless. It generated more traffic in referrals then it would with benefits to SEO.

which is the whole point of 'niche' websites - the more relevant the site, the better its return will be.
I suppose the real trick would be to offer people these links free of charge, then after 3 years or so attempt to claim that they've agreed to pay a yearly fee. Think of the potential revenue if people just rolled over and paid.

And then go running to the Police when people take exception to your fraudulent behaviour. tinyurl.com/eventdomain

People Per Hour for sure! The clients on there live in another world! I sometimes watch the jobs just to see who's mad enough to take them on

Better than standing in the dole queue I guess? In any field you have cheap average and expensive. You can go to £10 perfume from superdrug or go montale or even higher, now how that smells is everybody's own perspective.

If they don't have enough wokr, I think its better to accept some work at less money than no money at all? It's like groupon, more work but smaller %age.
