Who uses DIGG, or other similar sites?

Hi all, just a question regarding all these social bookmarking sites. Who uses them and what for? (promotion, personal use) and which ones do you use?

I have been submitting articles on digg and am starting to get the concept... I need to follow more people I think, but not quite sure how to get more followers. It seems difficult to get a lot of diggs.

Anyone tried this? Perhaps we could start a UKBF digg group or something? This way we could help each other to promote stuff. :|

Hi there.

Digg is a difficult one to crack. If your article is voted up, there are folks that will down vote it as soon as it gets near the top. UtiliiesSavings is right about the premise of the site, but I think there are other sites out there which may be a bit more fruitful.

Would suggest Stumble Upon instead as it's a little less easily manipulated.

Best of luck!

Digg got a big redesign recently which everyone seems to hate.

Not really seen the point of it since most peopel share on Twitter and the like these days and it you're bookmarking for yourself many browsers now enable easy bookmark syncing.

Sites like Digg, StumpleUpon, Furl and all those are not what they once were.

An interesting feature of Digg's recent makeover is the ability to automatically submit your news or blog articles. Used to be a bit of a chore having to manually type in the categories and captcha code etc.

In our experience Digg does help with traffic and submitted articles often appear high in Google search for long-tail terms.
